Independent Mold Investigation + Targeted Testing

Solve the Whole Problem Before You Pay for the Cleanup.

Mold and moisture problems often extend beyond what is visible. Tune My Space finds the source, tests what cannot be answered visually, defines the right work and independently verifies the result.

Every assessment is personally performed by Rob Mezzanotte, combining specialized mold and moisture investigation with more than 20 years of hands-on building experience.

Why Mold Is Different

With a deck or solar project, the job is usually clear before contractors bid it. Mold and hidden moisture are not that simple.

A remediation estimate may be prepared before the moisture source, hidden affected areas, HVAC involvement or full testing needs are understood. If each company defines a different problem, you are comparing different projects—not just different prices.

Tune My Space First

Define the problem before cleanup begins.

  • Spend the time needed to understand the building
  • Use air, surface or dust testing to answer specific questions
  • Evaluate whether HVAC and air pathways matter
  • Write a contractor-neutral remediation scope
  • Return to independently verify the work

Estimate First

The person defining the job is also trying to sell it.

  • Unpaid investigation time may be limited
  • Testing may be limited, unavailable or poorly matched to the question
  • Hidden moisture or hidden mold may be missed
  • HVAC may fall outside the proposed work
  • The contractor may be the only party judging completion

The most expensive mold cleanup is the one that misses the cause, has to be repeated or leaves the homeowner unsure whether the home is ready.

Investigation + Testing

Visual inspection finds the conditions. Testing helps answer what those conditions produced.

No single sample tells the whole story. Tune My Space selects testing based on the building, the locations involved and the decision the results must support.

Air Sampling

Helps compare indoor areas with an outdoor reference and identify airborne fungal spores collected at the time of testing.

Surface Sampling

Helps identify suspected growth on a material and connect the laboratory result to the exact surface and moisture condition.

Dust Testing

Can provide broader information about mold-related material that may have settled throughout a home over time.

Results are interpreted alongside moisture readings, building history, visible findings, HVAC conditions and the location of every sample.

Two Common Starting Points

Focused when one problem needs an answer. Comprehensive when the home is complicated.

Why Rob’s Experience Matters

Water and moisture problems are building problems before they become cleanup projects.

The person preparing a remediation estimate may be highly skilled—or may primarily be trained inside one company’s process. Rob personally evaluates how roofing, drainage, plumbing, assemblies, HVAC, humidity and previous repairs connect to the evidence.

Why Rob’s background matters
Time to investigateThe assessment itself is the service, not an unpaid step toward a cleanup sale.
Testing with a purposeSamples are chosen to answer unanswered questions and interpreted in building context.
Whole-building thinkingHVAC, crawlspaces, attics and air pathways are considered when evidence points beyond one room.
Oversight after cleanupThe contractor is not the only party deciding whether the work succeeded.

Start With the Situation

Tell Rob What's Happening and what remains unanswered.

Share the leak history, odors, visible growth, symptoms at home, previous testing or remediation proposals. Rob will determine whether a targeted or whole-home investigation is the better fit.

Active leak or standing water? Stop the source and arrange emergency drying first. Tune My Space can investigate remaining moisture and microbial concerns after the immediate emergency is controlled.
